Wattle Bank is a hamlet of residential acreage properties nestled inland from Wonthaggi and Inverloch on the Bass Coast of Victoria. Residents are a ten-minute drive from Wonthaggi or Inverloch and an easy two hour journey from the Melbourne CBD. Animals graze, native trees and produce grow and wildlife is abundant. It is the ideal destination for those seeking a tree change and want country air but don’t want to be too far from amenities or the big smoke.

The Wattle Bank Community Group aims to :-

  • Advocate on behalf of the residents
  • Keep the residents informed about current changes and events affecting the community
  • Help to create a community by linking residents through events and communication.

Amazing news !
The last request for a speed reduction on Lynnes Road has been accepted. 80km signs will be erected this financial year. The success is due to the persistent letter, email and submission writers over the past 20 years. Thank you to all of you but especially to the people responsible for the successful application. Clean Up Day 2023

A huge thank you to the small but conscientious group of people who Cleaned Up Wattle Bank on  Sunday 5th March . We managed to complete most of Lynnes Road, McCraw’s Road and Pennell Court. A number of young residents provided significant help and were proud of the trailer load of rubbish that headed to the Wonthaggi Transfer Station. A barbecue followed the event and provided an opportunity to chat with neighbours. Join us next time, March 3rd 2024. Put it in your diaries.
